Abiotic stress through time

نویسندگان

چکیده

Throughout plant evolution the circadian clock has expanded into a complex signaling network, coordinating physiological and metabolic processes with environment. Early land plants faced new environmental pressures that required energy-demanding stress responses. Integrating abiotic response system provides control over daily energy expenditure. Here, we describe of in limited, yet compelling, evidence for conserved regulation stress. The need to introduce tolerance current crops research wild accessions revealed extensive variation parameters across monocot eudicot species. We argue ancestral links between will benefit crop improvement efforts.

Plant Abiotic Stress

Abiotic stress such as cold, drought, salt, and heavy metals largely influences plant development and crop productivity. Abiotic stress has been becoming a major threat to food security due to the constant changes of climate and deterioration of environment caused by human activity. To cope with abiotic stress, plants can initiate a number of molecular, cellular , and physiological changes to r...

Abiotic Stress in Plants

Living on the same planet, plants means a lot to us. No matter being taken, as our food or treated with great commercial significance, plants are so indispensable that we have to learn how to protect, make use of, and most important of all, get on well with them. In the first place, what we all understand is: plants are distinguished from us or other animals by being unable to escape from the s...

RNA helicases and abiotic stress

RNA helicases function as molecular motors that rearrange RNA secondary structure, potentially performing roles in any cellular process involving RNA metabolism. Although RNA helicase association with a range of cellular functions is well documented, their importance in response to abiotic stress is only beginning to emerge. This review summarizes the available data on the expression, biochemis...

Microtubules, signalling and abiotic stress.

Plant microtubules, in addition to their role in cell division and axial cell expansion, convey a sensory function that is relevant for the perception of mechanical membrane stress and its derivatives, such as osmotic or cold stress. During development, sensory microtubules participate in the mechanical integration of plant architecture, including the patterning of incipient organogenesis and t...

Plant Abiotic Stress: ‘Omics’ Approach

Volume 1 • Issue 3 • 1000e108 J Plant Biochem Physiol ISSN: 2329-9029 JPBP, an open access journal Abiotic stress is the major threat towards the living world more precisely the plant kingdom whose development and productivity is negatively hampered. It is considered as the major cause behind plant damage and reduced crop yield [1]. Plants have developed several biochemical, physiological and m...
